On the 15th of April the flower markets by the central square of Avenida Arriaga (Funchal) open; and the flower exhibition delights us with a delicate floral carpet along the main streets of Funchal, marking the beginning of the three-day flower festival.
You can start your journey enjoying the ten acres of our lush semi-tropical gardens, where vines merge with glorious displays of hibiscus, frangipani, jasmins, honey suckle and a spectacular jade vine. Featuring trees from all over the world and a rich variety of the brilliant flowers that have earned Madeira its title as the “Garden of the Atlantic”.
Your green house or even your kitchen window will have a Madeiran Twist after your holidays, just don’t forget to take home your seeds from our garden to make magic happen.

For Children
If you are travelling with children take note that the Disney Magic Cruise will dock at Funchal on the 18th April, with Mickey and other friends joining the Flower Festival.
