There are very few locations where people from 0 to 101 can do exactly what each of them wants, whether it's challenging sports, total relaxation, culture, fun and games and more. Reid's Palace, which for more than a century has been perfecting the art of entertaining its guests, can claim unbeatable expertise in this sphere. 

Reid's Palace in Madeira welcomes more and more families all year and has opened an exclusive children's playground to further enhance the holiday experience of our youngest guests.

We are pleased to present the following special services for children: 
 
Fun@Reid's for Children
The newly built thatched roof Fun@Reid's house, located between our two tennis courts, features a children's pool, an extended outdoor playground with a slide and a Wendy house with abundant indoor space for children to play. It is open to guests between 3 and 9 years old; daily during the holiday period between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm and 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) the rest of the year.

There is the option of having lunch onsite. The Fun@Reid's house offers DVD equipped TV, computer, electronic games platforms, traditional games and toys. 

Fun@Reid's for Teens
Anyone with children from 10 to 18 will understand the importance of this new facility; a sound-proofed room complete with the latest technology including Wii consoles, Play Stations, Apple Macs and free internet.

Teens will now enjoy their stay at Reid's Palace as much as you do, and of course our trained staff will always be on hand to assist them and make sure they have everything they need.

In-room welcome amenities
Each child staying at Reid's Palace receives a drawing kit with a set of pencils; the youngest ones receive a teddy bear as well. Rooms are equipped with special bed linen and children's hangers in the wardrobe. In the bathroom we have special toiletries for children, bathrobe and slippers.  

Children's dining
Both the Villa Cipriani Restaurant and the Pool Restaurant feature a children's menu, as well as Room Service.

Our child minders can take your children for dinner in restaurant Villa Cipriani at 6.30 pm, while the restaurant opens at 7.00 pm for other guests. Afterwards our youngest guests can head to the television room to enjoy cartoons or a movie. At 9.00 pm, parents have the choice of joining their children again or having the babysitter service take care of the children for the rest of the evening.

Babysitters are provided through the concierge, at an additional cost.

In-room amusement
Two TV cartoon channels in English and Portuguese, Video player in each room, with children's video-cassettes available at Reception. 

Child Policies

• Children stay for free (aged 0-12) when sharing parents' room, maximum one child per room, enjoying same board basis as the parents (Bed and Breakfast, Half or Full Board)
• Teens (aged 13 to 17) receive a 50% discount on Extra Bed, Half board or Full board arrangements, when sharing parents' room, maximum one teen per room

• If you have more than one child between 3 and 17 years old you can take advantage of our special Fun@Reid's Programme. 50% discount for 2nd room occupied by 3-17 years old, maximum 2 per room, enjoying same parents’ booked arrangements (Bed and Breakfast, Half or Full Board) – Not applicable during Festive season.
